Born and raised in Olathe KS, USA cata grew up listening to all sorts of electronic genres from a very young age. It wasn’t until Jr High when he ended up with his first vinyl turntable playing UK hardcore and Drum and Bass records at school talent shows. From here cata´s tastes expanded into many genres, both electronic and otherwise.
Currently cata’s sets typically range from slower tempo lounge/soul/funk/disco type vibes to get the night started to more clubby genres such as house, techno and uk garage once the energy is high. From here anything goes as cata has been known to play anything from dub/reggae breakdowns to more chilled out ambient tracks to reset the mood. It is all about tapping into the musical energy of a space/venue for cata and for that reason expect to hear a collage of dance music covering a diverse range of styles.
